The Multiverse is open. The Omenpaths — those permanent passages between planes created by the Realmbreaker — have transformed the very nature of existence. For the first time, ordinary inhabitants can travel between worlds. But this new freedom also brings new dangers.

This episode explores the early years of the Era of the Omenpaths and the upheavals it brings.

The Migrations

Ravnica, the city-world divided into ten guilds, became the main crossroads of the Multiverse. Omenpaths opened in several districts, bringing refugees from planes devastated by the Phyrexian invasion.

The guilds had to adapt. The Boros Legion patrolled the new portals. The Azorius Senate tried to create laws for these unprecedented visitors. House Dimir gathered information on these newcomers — and on the worlds they came from.

The Tensions

Kellan, Daring Traveler // Journey On
Kellan, a young half-elf from Eldraine and the faerie plane, embodies this new generation of travelers.

Tensions emerged quickly. Locals saw outsiders as threats to their resources. Refugees desperately searched for a new home. Opportunists took advantage of the chaos to enrich themselves.

But it wasn't all negative. Cultural exchanges began. Technologies from Kaladesh arrived on Dominaria. The magic of Theros influenced practitioners from other worlds. Interplanar trade was born.

Ixalan Transformed

On Ixalan, the Omenpaths upended the balance of power. The vampires of the Legion of Dusk, once isolated on their continent, could now travel to other planes. Their imperial ambitions extended beyond their world.

But Ixalan also revealed its own secrets. The Lost Caverns beneath the surface contained a forgotten civilization — and an ancient threat no one had foreseen.

The Cosmium

Geological Appraiser
Cosmium attracted prospectors and adventurers — a new gold rush, but with multiplanar stakes.

Cosmium, a crystalline substance capable of storing and releasing magical energy, was discovered in the depths of Ixalan. This precious resource attracted prospectors from every plane — and created new conflicts.

Eldraine After the Faerie

Eldraine, the world of fairy tales, had suffered during the Phyrexian invasion. The Wilds, the realm of fae and magical creatures, had drawn dangerously close to the mortal world.

Virtue of Persistence // Locthwain Scorn
Virtue of Persistence — Eldraine was rebuilding, one tale at a time.

The borders between the real and the faerie had blurred. Inhabitants had to learn to coexist with creatures once relegated to children's stories — except these creatures were anything but innocent.

Will and Rowan Kenrith

Rowan, Scion of War
Rowan chose the path of war — her storm magic reflected her inner rage.

The twins Will and Rowan Kenrith, heirs to the throne of Eldraine, took divergent paths. Rowan, marked by the events of the invasion, embraced darker magic. Will tried to uphold the chivalric values of their family.

Their conflict mirrored the tensions of Eldraine itself — between tradition and change, between light and darkness.

Thunder Junction

A new plane emerged in the consciousness of the Multiverse: Thunder Junction, a wild frontier world where the Omenpaths had created an unexpected crossroads.

Oko, Thief of Crowns
Oko found a new stage for his mischief — the lawless lands of Thunder Junction.

On Thunder Junction, the rules were simple: the fastest won, and the law belonged to those who had the means to enforce it. Outlaws from every plane converged on this new territory.

The New Bandits

Rakdos, the Muscle
Rakdos himself left Ravnica for Thunder Junction — the demon was looking for new entertainment.

Notorious figures saw an opportunity in Thunder Junction:

  • Oko, the manipulative shapeshifter, was fleeing the consequences of his past crimes
  • Vraska, the gorgon assassin, was seeking a fresh start far from Ravnica
  • Annie Flash, a local mercenary, started her own gang
  • And even Rakdos himself, the demon-lord of Ravnica, came looking for entertainment

The New Threats

The Omenpaths didn't just bring opportunities — they also brought dangers. Creatures from once-isolated planes could now travel. Diseases could spread between worlds. Conflicts could extend beyond their natural borders.

Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal // Temple of the Dead
Aclazotz, the bat-god of Ixalan, was extending his influence through the Omenpaths — darkness has no borders.

And some predators saw in this new Multiverse an unlimited hunting ground.
