Lim-D\u00fbl had discovered an ancient Phyrexian artifact \u2014 a ring that granted him immense power over the dead.<\/p>\n\n<p>What he did not know was that this power came at a price. The ring was a link to <strong>Gix<\/strong>, one of Phyrexia's praetors, who manipulated the necromancer like a puppet.<\/p>\n\n<h3>The War of the Undead<\/h3>\n\n<p>Lim-D\u00fbl raised an <strong>army of the undead<\/strong> and launched an offensive against Kjeldor. The Academy mages, led by Jodah, lent their support.<\/p>\n\n<p>This coalition managed to defeat Lim-D\u00fbl, but the necromancer himself escaped \u2014 and the true masters of the threat remained in the shadows.<\/p>\n\n<h2>Jodah's Academy<\/h2>\n\n<p>For those four millennia, <strong>Jodah<\/strong> had survived thanks to the Mirror of Kagrim.
